Since its the start of the NHL Playoffs and the NBA Playoffs are up next we thought that the best way to start would be with a few hockey moments and a very famous basketball one as well. Yannick Ngakoue Youth Jersey . THE MICHAEL JORDAN FLU GAME First this famous basketball moment.  The story goes like this. “Game 5, known as "The Flu Game", was one of Michael Jordans most memorable. At 2 a.m on Tuesday morning, Jordan called his personal trainer to his hotel room, where he was lying in the fetal position and sweating profusely. He hardly had the strength to sit up in bed and was diagnosed with a stomach virus or food poisoning, likely caused by a pizza ordered the night before. The Bulls trainers told Jordan that there was no way he could play the next day. The Jazz had just won Games 3 & 4 to tie the series at 2 wins apiece, and a third consecutive win would give them the momentum. The Bulls needed their leader for this critical swing game, and despite his ailments, Jordan got out of bed at 5:50 p.m on Wednesday, just in time for the 7 oclock tip-off at the Delta Center.” Heres what it would have looked like if MJ took to Twitter: Heres a look at that Flu Game: PATRICK ROY VS JEREMY ROENICK Next up, the infamous war of words between Patrick Roy and Jeremy Roenick. Heres the set up, it was the 1996 Western Conference Semi Finals, Jeremy Roenick was hauled down on a breakaway late in the series and he got upset that a penalty was not called.  When asked about it Patrick Roy responded with "I would have saved it anyway”.  Roenick didnt take Roys comment lightly. In a separate interview, J.R. gave his response. "Id like to know where Patrick was in Game 3 (a game in which Roenick had scored on Patrick Roy on a similar breakaway)," he continued with "Probably up trying to get his jock out of the rafters." Patrick had the last laugh on and off the ice with one of the greatest quotes in hockey history: "I cannot really hear what Jeremy says because Ive got my two Stanley Cup rings plugging my ear,". Roy and the Avalanche won the series and then the Stanley Cup. Heres what it would have looked like if they guys had Twitter: Heres the video of the whole event: AL MICHAELS “DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES”Historic moments will always a part of sports, but rarely is a single event captured in a phrase, spoken just at the right moment. That is exactly what happened when Al Michaels exclaimed“Do you believe in miracles? Yes!”  during the  1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid. Michaels said those words (while along side Ken Dryden) with six seconds left on the clock in what is arguably the most dramatic game and most unbelievable upset in sports history. To this day it is regularly quoted and a movie was even made using a title from his call.Heres what it would have looked like if he Tweeted it: We hope you enjoyed those Tweets in sports history, please let us know if you have suggestions for future moments you would like to see “If They Tweeted” by tweeting us @BarDown Julius Thomas Jersey . The freestyle skier from Calgary finished sixth in the qualification round with a total of 82.00 points. Groenewoud won a silver medal at the X Games last month, just over five weeks after undergoing double knee surgery. Chris Ivory Jersey . Atletico Madrid made it three wins from three thanks to a double from in-form striker Diego Costa in a 3-0 victory at Austria Vienna, leaving the Spanish side on the brink of the last 16 already to continue its brilliant start to the season.Steven Stamkos injury was not enough to prevent him from being named to the squad as Canada general manager Steve Yzerman is fully aware of what the 23-year-old can do when healthy. Fielding questions after the announcement, Yzerman noted that the brain trust had to take a chance on Stamkos being healthy, since they would be unable to add him to the roster later on. "If hes healthy hes one of the 25 best players, obviously, in Canada," Yzerman said after the roster announcement. "His rehab and recovery are going very well," Yzerman said. "The doctors are pleased with what they see on X-ray and I think every day people see the updates of him skating and whatnot. Hes pushing himself extremely hard." Stamkos is still skating on his own as he recovers from a broken leg. The native of Markham, Ontario has been out of action since crashing into a goal post in Nov. 11. Still, Yzerman stressed that his team is willing to be patient with Stamkos. "Well see how this X-ray goes. Hell continue to work and well wait and well make that decision when we get closer to the Olympics." The announcement was not as kind to Stamkos linemate Martin St. Louis. The 38-year-old has managed 38 points this season despite playing the majority of it without Stamkos. Still, the Canadian brain trust made the decision to leave the veteran off the roster, despite Yzerman having a long look at St. Louis as Tampa Bay Lightning general manager. "I guess we thought with Steve Yzerman being thee executive director of Team Canada and the general manager of the Tampa Bay Lightning and with Marty St. Blake Bortles Jersey. Louis playing as well as he did, especially after Steven Stamkos went down with injury that he would be there," TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie said. "But we also sensed all along that the coaching staff might not have been as big on Marty St. Louis as the management team or as Steve Yzerman might have been." St. Louis meanwhile, voiced his disappointment after Tampa Bays 4-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets Tuesday. "For Team Canada, you guys can imagine how I feel, obviously, Im extremely disappointed and Ill just leave it at that," he said, refusing to speak more about the issue. In the end, it put Yzerman in a difficult professional position. "Youve got to hand it to Steve Yzerman," McKenzie said. "Thats a personally – and even professionally, with the impact that this could have with the Tampa Bay Lightning – a huge blow to St. Louis and his psyche right now." Lightning head coach Jon Cooper says that despite being a veteran, being cut is still hard on a player like St. Louis. "Hes a human, so I dont care if hes one year in the league or 20 years in the league, Im sure hes extremely disappointed, as we all are," said Cooper. "Knowing Marty, this is probably going to motivate the snot out of him." St. Louis is not expected to address the media until after the Lightnings game Tuesday night in Winnipeg. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys ' ' '
